About
The indigenous Guarani people of Paraguay cultivated it since time immemorial with the name mburukuja (which means "breeding ground of flies", because of the large number of insects that its intense nectar attracts) until a Sevillian, Nicolás Monardes, discovered it and gave it the name it has today "Passion Fruit", because different parts of the flower are reminiscent of the crucifixion of Christ.
Once again, Seville, where Gospa has been cultivated for 4 generations, is launching this wonderful fruit all over the world.
