About
Cultivated for centuries in Central America and later spread across Asia by the Spanish, the Dragon fruit —also known as Pitahaya, which in the indigenous language means "scaly fruit"— is as fascinating as its name suggests. It grows from a night-blooming cactus, whose flowers open only after dark, earning it the name “Queen of the Night.”
Its vibrant skin and seed-speckled flesh stand out for both their appearance and their fresh, mildly sweet flavor. Despite its exotic look, it is a light and highly versatile fruit.
From Seville, where Gospa has cultivated it for generations, we bring this unique fruit to the world.
